Goodbye: John Madden to Retires from Broadcasting

    John Madden

We watched him for years on Monday Night Football and now NBC’s Sunday Night Football is never going to be the same.

John Madden, the Hall of Fame coach and NFL broadcaster, is hanging up his mic one last time and retiring. The 73-year-old former Raiders coach has spent nearly 40 years involved in the NFL and has won 16 Emmy Awards for his work in the booth.

I’m not going to lie. When I first heard Madden was going to retire, I broke down and cried for a good 5 minutes. Then I read further and saw that it was just from the broadcast booth and that his video games would continue.

For a second there, I didn’t know what I was going to do with my life from the hours of 11 AM to midnight.

Brian Baldinger’s Mangled Digit on MNF

    Brian Baldinger

So I bet you’re wondering why Brian Billick and Dick Stockton have such a concentrated look on their faces?

Well, move your little eyeballs a little further down the screen and you’ll understand why they’re gazing into Brian Baldinger’s eyes.

Yes, that’s not an optical allusion, but rather, it’s Brian Baldinger’s pinky. You’d think he’d try to at least ball up his fist so that America won’t have to see his pinky tickle Billick’s nipple. And being analyst for Fox, you’d think he’s have some good insurance to set that sucker back into place.

    Great, there goes my oatmeal.

     Barack Obama and John McCain

Today’s the big day folks. Election 2008.

By the end of the day, we’ll know who are next President will be. But if you’re still undecided between Senator Barack Obama and Senator McCain, then maybe these final words from each candidate will help.

Obama and McCain were both drilled by ESPN’s Chris Berman and here is what they had to say.

    Here is Barack’s comments:

And now for ol’ man McCain:

Is it me, or did anyone see the forced smile Berman had for McCain when he tried to imitate his “he could go all the way!” Oh it’s fun to watch an old man’s attempt at reaching to a younger crowd.
