I don’t know why I haven’t heard about this until now.

Apparently San Diego Padres outfielder Brian Giles is being sued by his ex-girlfriend, Cheri Olvera, for $10 million dollars, citing she was beaten for years by Giles and even possibly had a miscarriage due to the abuse. Usually in these cases, the athletes might get off since there is no physical evidence of the abuse. But in this case, she may be telling the truth as one of the battered moments was caught on tape.
