Yankees Sign Billy Crystal to a Minor League Contract
Who needs Johan Santana when you can pick up Billy Crystal.
The New York Yankees signed lifelong Yankee fan Crystal to a one-day minor league contract where he will suit up against the Pittsburgh Pirates Thursday.
The 59-year-old comedian apparently has what it takes to hit in the big leagues. The Yankees informed reporters that Crystal hit a whopping .348 during his senior year at Long Beach High School where he also served as the team captain. Look out Derek Jeter.
Why stop at Billy Crystal? Why not Spike Lee? Even better. Alyssa Milanno. I’m sure they’ll make up for her lack of production at the plate with sold out games and calendar sales.
Pinstripes and Alyssa. My life would then be complete.
