Yes folks, Ireland’s Mark Cleland can now say he has the quickest reflexes and uncanny ability to outwit his opponent in a game of threes. Or, at the least, he just has the most luck out of his competitors. After jumping out to an 8-2 lead over Sebastian Gatica of Canada, Gatica kicked it up a notch and brought the pain to Cleland. After a hard fought battle, Cleland came out on top to win 10-9, making all the redheads in his country proud.

But don’t worry, the U.S. didn’t walk away without a medal. Sean “Wicked Fingers” Sears slammed Guam in the bronze medal match.

I, on the other hand, am not satisfied with third place. I think we should put together a committee, led by Jerry Colangelo, to round up the best team of competitors. I want the U.S. to bring dominance to the sport of Paper, Rock, Scissors!

And through the next four years, maybe HBO will put together a Hard Knocks series to witness the training of greatness. Hmm, I also for some reason picture a tournament like this to be a feature film starring Ben Stiller and televised at midnight on “The Ocho.”

After the Lakers game the other night, Pardon the Interuption’s Michael Wilbon, ESPN.com and LA Times writer J.A. Adande and analyst Jon Barry were all out at the Los Angeles club Les Deux. The trio was enjoying a night on the town when they ran into an unlikely crowd that I never thought they’d ever socialize with. It’s like the band geeks hanging out with the jocks. It just seems so weird.

Anyways, Wilborn took a picture with none other than Carly Parker and The Girls Next Door’s Kendra, whereas Adande looks way too happy next to Lisa Lipps.

I wonder if they’re big fans of the ladies’ work.

First comes the money and then comes the celebrity dating.

That seems to be the case with former Duke basketball player and new Portland Trailblazer Josh McRoberts, who has been seen across Los Angeles lately with The Hills star Lauren Conrad.

She’s no A-lister by any means, but she’s cute and a guy has to start somewhere. He can’t just shoot right up to hanging with likes of, oh lets say, a Jessica Alba.

Although Conrad wants to keep the relationship undercover, they seem to be snapping pictures all over LA.

At least that was the scenario for rugby player Ben Czislowski in Brisbane, Australia.

During an April 1 match, Czislowski collided with opponent Matt Austin and suffered a head wound that was stitched up soon thereafter. But months later, he had an eye infection and soon had shooting pains in his head.

It turns out that doctors found a tooth embedded in Czislowski’s head.

Czislowski said that if Austin ever wanted the tooth back, he still has it and it’s sitting on his bedside table.

Ok, for one: how did Austin not know he was missing a tooth? It’s not like he lost one of his molers in the back, you know it had to be a front tooth.

And two: Czislwoski, didn’t you know that if you want any money from the tooth fairy, you have to put it under your pillow.
