Dancing with the Stars Champ Helio dating Hough?

Did “Dancing with the Stars” champion Helio Castroneves, 32, come away with the trophy and his dancing partner/coach Julianne Hough?Julianne Hough

That is the rumor floating around after the race car driver announced that he broke off the engagement to his fiance and girlfriend of 6-years Aliette Vazquez, who is of the same age.

Nothing is confirmed and he hasn’t admitted to the romance, but he and Hough, 19, have been spotted getting close and personal around town in Beverly Hills shopping together.

I personally don’t see what the problem is. At least he and Vasquez didn’t get married and fall into a messy divorce. That could have cost him a lot of money.

Let’s look at the bright side of things people!?

Slam Dunk! It’s Gotta be the Shoes

This is the first time I’ve come across this guy dunking, but it’s not the fact that he is high flying all over the court that impresses me (and makes me a bit jealous), but it’s the fact that he’s only 5′9!

The man is 21-year-old Terrell Cournoyea and by the looks of his jumps, he may give the Knicks’ Nate Robinson a run for his money as the best dunker under 6-foot.

    Washington Redskins’ Sean Taylor Dies

    Sean Taylor

Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor died early this morning from a gunshot wound to his leg.

The 24-year-old Pro Bowl safety was asleep in his Miami home early Monday morning when there was an apparent intruder who broke in and shot Taylor in the upper leg, causing damage to the femoral artery and making him lose a significant amount of blood.

After being airlifted by a helicopter from his home to a hospital in Miami, Taylor went into a coma and never regained consciousness.

Taylor was one of the up and coming stars in the NFL and was known for commanding a strong presence in the middle of the field, striking fear in the eyes of would be receivers with his crushing blows.

It’s sad to see such a tragedy happen to someone so young and talented who was finally starting to control his life and mature after the birth of his now 1-year-old daughter, who was in the house along with his girlfriend during the break-in.

My thoughts are with the Taylor family and below is a tribute to the safety, highlighting the plays he made throughout his great, short career.

NFL Fantasy Stats of the Week

Here are the best of the best in NFL action yesterday. And surprisingly, Tom Brady wasn’t the most dominant player this weekend.

    • In a heartbreaking loss to the 49ers, Kurt Warner tossed for a staggering 484 yards and 2 touchdowns, but it was his costly fumble in the end zone that lost the game for the Cardinals.
    • Frank Gore did it all for the 49ers, running for 116 yards with 2 touchdowns and catching 11 passes for 98 yards.
    • Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald hauled in 9 passes for 156 yards and 2 touchdowns.
    • Colts signal caller Peyton Manning was back this week with 3 touchdown passes and 272 passing yards.
    • Despite not having any touchdown grabs, Patriot Wes Welker caught 13 passes for 149 yards.
    • Antonio Gates caught 6 passes for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns for the San Diego Chargers.
    • The Viking Defense had an awesome game with 3 out of their 4 interceptions being returned for touchdowns and 3 sacks.
    • Bronco Jay Cutler passed for 302 yards and 2 touchdowns.
    • Brett Favre was up there with Kurt Warner in terms of stats, but led the Packers to a win with 381 yards and 3 touchdowns.
    • Kellen Winslow caught 10 passes for 107 yards and a touchdown.
    • Drew Brees threw for 3 touchdowns and rushed for another one in a win over Carolina.
    • Chad Johnson had 3 touchdowns and 103 yards receiving on 12 catches.
    • Tom Brady passed for 380 yards and only 1 touchdown.

Dream Holiday Gift: Schwinn 418 Elliptical Trainer

Posted November 26, 2007 by valentina

I have a lot of dream holiday gifts dancing around in my head, and among the way-out-of-my-league designer clothes and fantasy vacations is an elliptical trainer. I know that sounds crazy and that most guys are warned to steer clear of presents like this for their wives and girlfriends, but personally, I would love it.

I try to go to the gym everyday, but sometimes, with traffic, work and family responsibilities, the need for sleep and a million other road blocks, it’s just not possible. For those reasons, I’ve always thought it’d be such a luxury to get a good workout at home. Especially when I’m waiting in line for an elliptical (they never, ever have enough of those things!) or having to give up my exercise machine after 30 minutes whether I’m ready or not. If I had my own, I could sweat ’til my heart’s content and work off those festive holiday pounds in no time. That’s why I’ve had my eye on this Schwinn 418 Elliptical Trainer, and I’ve been dropping major hints.

I like this Schwinn Elliptical because it’s a solid piece of equipment. It has 8 levels and 11 programs, which keeps things interesting. Plus, it’s going for only $649 online at Mercantila.com, and that’s about $350 off the regular price. You can also get 5% off with Mercantilia’s flexible financing.

Give the gift of sweat! It’s pretty romantic.

The World Series of Beer Pong Commercial

This commercial for The World Series of Beer Pong reminds me of something that would air on The Ocho. You know, the network that was on the movie Dodgeball which featured ridiculous and outrageous sports such as, well, dodgeball.

Only in America can beer guzzling frat boys be in contention to win $50,000 if they can toss a tiny ball into a little cup of beer.

    God bless this country.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, if rapping doesn’t work out for Lil’ Romeo, then maybe he can fall back on a degreeLil' Romeo from USC.

Lil’ Romeo, whose real name is Percy Romeo Miller, has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the Trojans.

Romeo, who is also the son of rapper Master P, is listed at 6-0, 170 pounds and is regarded by some recruiting services as one of the top 15 point guards in the country.

Maybe Lil Romeo can team up with his father and perhaps put together their own halftime show?

    Just a thought.
