Let’s see…I’m a magazine writer, I like black and white movies and picnics, and I used to live in Hawaii. When I’m not on deadline, I enjoy lying in bed all day amongst a slew of magazines and reading all of them one by one. But most importantly, I love fashion. One of my favorite things to do is people watch, find someone with an interesting look and mentally analyze their personal style from head to toe. Another thrill: finding something really cute for really cheap. And my last confession is that I always shop alone because none of my friends or family can tolerate the torture of being in one store for hours as I scour every clothing rack and pile in the joint in hunt of the perfect piece.

Marti Longworth is a freelance writer from Orange County, CA. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in English & Communications, she worked on numerous enthusiast publications and her own creative writing projects. She enjoys reading, gaming (online, system or board), spending time with her daughter and her dog, knitting, riding her bike, and watching movies. In my second go around here at the smarter sports blog and still not sure what to write (ironic right?) for my spiffy bio. I recently graduated from Cal State Fullerton and have entered into the not so exclusive post college fraternity aptly called “What the heck do I do now?”
I’ve been a sports nut since I was kid and discovered that I liked to write in high school when someone introduced me to a wonderful thing called LiveJournal. Other interests include music (are there people not interested in that?), gaming, technology and the use of an inordinate amount of parenthesis (as if you couldn’t tell that already).

Samantha Marks loves spending time outdoors! She doesn’t aspire to travel around the world or visit exotic places (although a nice relaxing beach does sound nice!), but simply enjoys time spent in her own backyard.
