    Hampers & Laundry Baskets

Posted September 27, 2007 by evette
    Found in: Gifts, Organizing

So there I was stuffing an obscene amount of clothing into the washing machine. To my left was a plastic laundry basket that housed 4 dingy mis-matched socks and a towel, to my right was another nappy plastic basket, chalk full of oil and greased stained mini towels and rags that my roommates use for assorted garage work (I have 3 MALE roomates! Take a moment to let that fact marinate and you will understand my grief).

This moment in time inspired me to research stylish hampers that can be folded up and stored away after use! I guess my biggest grievance with plastic laundry baskets is that you can’t hide them away. I am very much about putting things back and storing them neatly out of sight!

Thanks to some quick search action on the ol’ internet highway, I discovered the following awesome solution to my dingy dilemma. Collapsible microfiber hampers! These hampers are made of soft and durable microfiber and they come with handles for easy transporting. But the best part is that they are “collapsible” which means when you are done with your laundry, you can collapse the sucker and put it away. Leaving the laundry facility nice and clean, imagine that.

    Retails for $34.95

They are offered in the following patterns:

Microfiber Collapsible Hamper - Damask A53931

Microfiber Collapsible Hamper - Floral A53932

Microfiber Collapsible Hamper - Basket A53933

    Halloween Decorations - Part One

    HALLOWEEN, HALLOWEEN, HALLOWEEN…… :)

So you might guess that I love me some Halloween, and you would be right! It’s just around the corner so I figured we should begin our holiday decoration search now. Personally I like to find decor that is unique and that I don’t see everywhere.

I am very pleased with the following two discoveries. I think they are very festive, cute and original. My first find is the Spider Pumpkin Multi Tea Light Holder which is pictured above. It holds a total of 8 tea lights and would be perfect to decorate your patio as a spooky greeting to trick or treaters, or for setting the mood at your bloody horror party!

Spider Pumpkin Tea lights retails for $23.95

Displayed above is the creepy, crawly … Spider Web String Lights! These string lights come in a boxed set including ten orange light bulbs. Perfect for decorating your driveway, windows or patio. The string set is made of metal so it is durable and can be used for many holidays to come.

Spider Web String Lights retail for $21.95

Can you feel the Halloween spirit sweeping into your soul? I can feel my eyes slowing turning amber with the glow of pure wickedness!!

    Be afraid…be very afraid.

    Chacki Deal:Ceramic Take Out Containers

Posted August 16, 2007 by valentina
Found in: Kitchen, Home Decor, Deal of the Day

I don’t exactly know what I’d do with these ceramic Take Out Containers, but I find them absolutely adorable. In fact, I’ve had my eye on them for awhile and was pleased to see that they made it into the Wrapables sale section (new price= $7.99, old price= $18.95). The website promotes the use of them to hold actual Chinese takeout as pictured above, but that’s weird. I prefer their other suggestions, which include using one as a flower vase as well a holder of takeout menus or kitchen accessories.  I’d just use one as an honest-to- goodness chachki.

Ceramic Take out Container $7.99 (was $18.99)

Sweet Deal: Party Ice Cream Bowls

Posted August 3, 2007 by valentina

I say, if you’re going to indulge in a little ice cream, you should make it an event.  You know, really go for it and use super tasty porcelain bowls like these.

Not convinced? Well, what if I told you that a set of four is going for $8.99 at Wrapables, and that’s less than half the price they’re being sold for elsewhere?

I bet you want two sets now.

Toast to this Deal: Bali Wine Rack

Posted July 19, 2007 by valentina

This hip Bali wine rack takes by breath away.  It comes in red (pictured) or ebony, holds up to twelve bottles of your favorite vino and well, look at it! It’s dazzling.  It reminds me of one of those super expensive items you always see in the gift shops of modern art museums.  You know, the stuff you look at longingly and (if you’re even brazen enough to peep at the price tag) shudder when you see the cost of.

But this one’s on sale! That’s right, it’s only $64.99, marked down from $72.95. Not bad considering it’s made of wood.  Ooh, fancy.

    Deal of the Day:Cool Clocks

    orange clock orbit

Orbit Wall Clock $24.99 (was $35.95)

I love the cool, modern decor available at Wrapables.com. Everything they sell has a quirky and often colorful edge that appeals to my aesthetic sensibilities and desires. Right now they’re having a sale, and clocks are included, thank goodness. That’s where I spotted this Orbit Wall Clock. It’s kind of retro and kind of modern, so it will complement many different decors. And it would really spruce up a boring old white wall, don’t you think?

    Animal Bookends
    Animal Bookends, $31.95

Every child’s bedroom needs a healthy supply of books, and where there are books, there should most definitely be bookends. And they should be charming. These giraffe bookends from Wrapables.com are just that. I love the simple shape and the way the base contrasts with the yellow of the giraffe.

But these aren’t the only bookends in town, there are plenty out there with that old-fashioned look that works so well in a kid’s room. I also spotted these on my search:

    Butterfly bookends

    Butterfly Bookends, $29.98 (was $49.99)
    Cowboy Boot Bookends
Lite Source Western Cowboy Boot Bookends, $46 (was $64)

    Race Car Bookends

    Baseball Bookends
