Plum Crazy Tiffany Table Lamp - Discount Home Decor

Discount Home Decor - Plum Crazy Table Lamp

I like the color purple, I feel that it is a shade that is not widely used and it should be. Purple and plum shades denoter rich earthly feelings in me and I can see why it is historically the color of royalty.

Check out the funky purplish-blue glass pairs with a brushed nickel finish to give this lamp panache. The Plum Crazy Table Lamp is featured on Bellacor and made in the good ol’ U.S. of A.

    Regular Price: $1,042.00

    Sale Price: $801.00

    You Save: $241.00 (23%)

Lamps Plus Lighting - Rectangle Silver Floor Lamp

So to be clear the actual floor lamp that is on sale at Lamp Plus is the tall, rectangular column one featured above. This floor lamp sparkles with Asian style and comes from the acclaimed George Kovacs lighting collection. I dig it.

But I will say this, in moderation for pete’s sake! Would I go with the whole “Karate Kid” theme for my entire living room, NO! But I think mixing and matching unique pieces is always posh. The George Kovacs Column Lamp was originally $299.99 but is now offered at $199.99!!

Plus click here to save $5 -$20 -$30 dollars off your Lamps Plus Purchases!

    ScamoRama Book - Boing Boing

I need to get this book!! It’s called ScamoRama and it basically breaks down ways to turn the tables on those god awful emails we all get from some desperate widows, or corrupt bankers asking for money and promising to split the big payload in the end.

“Scamorama is a popular website for scambaiting, and its creator, Eve Edelson, has put a lot of thought into the nature of the 419 con and those who seek to disrupt it. In Scamorama (the book), Edelson traces the history of scamming back to the middle ages and forward to the present day, giving practical advice on not getting taken in and scam-proofing your friends and family.”

Treehugger Blog - Hot to Go Green Bathroom Renovation

Lets face it, our bathrooms are a disaster. They are small, dark, superficially sterile, poorly ventilated with a toxic atmosphere, that suck up water and energy in huge quantities and just throw it away, heat, water and useful resources, down a pipe for someone else to make it go away somewhere else. (Source: Treehugger Blog)

Learn how to renovate your bathroom so that it runs efficiently and optimizes the use of energy and resources. Doing so is not only good for the enviroment but is bound to save you money as well.

Quick Fix - Simply Change Your Lamp Shade

Tiffany Lamp Shade - Lighting Decor

If you are bored with your current home decor options a quick and affordable fix is to change the little things. Changing your bed sheets in the old boudoir, swapping out the lamp shades, adding a nice rug here and there, are all little things that can totally update or change the mood of a room!

Well for the purpose of this particular post let’s focus on lamp shades. In the past I was always quite stunned at how expensive “Tiffany Lamps” cost, I suppose I was just never familiar with that particular genre but I found a great deal on a Landmark Tiffany Lampshade from HomeAnnex.

The lamp shade is featured above and only costs $36.00!
    Cream Scallop Bottomed Lamp Shade

As for me I tend to prefer styles like this Cream Shantung Lamp Shade from LightingDirect.com!

I like the cream color, plus the scalloped bottom fringe adds a little whimsy to an otherwise basic lamp shade. Funny part is on the LightingDirect.com site it states that the optimal suggested location for this lamp shade is a “kitchen nook”. Which I think is fine and dandy but actually I think the lamp shade is better suited in the bedroom, a study or living room scene. I don’t know what sort of kitchen you have but its a tad too fancy for my kitchen plus things described as “cream” have no buisness on my kitchen counters. :) Just a thought.

    Costs $34.00

    Gold Lamp Shade

The Gold Jacquard Lamp Shade emits a nice golden glow and I can see the golden pattern adorning a variety of homes.

Oh my gosh, again it’s recommended in the store description as a good “kitchen nook” item. Does everyone but me have a super fancy kitchen? I really don’t see this lamp shade in a kitchen.

Gold Jacquard Lamp Shade - Costs  $23.00

If you don’t like any of these lamp shades options, don’t worry there are hundreds more to choose from, simply click here, Discount Lamp Shades.
