Unfortunately, a lot of the new design from South Africa does not have a web presence, and so those of us not fortunate enough to live close by will have to do without. Not so with the Willowlamp … find out more at 2Modern Design Talk.

The interesting thing about this bed is that unlike it’s competitors from Blu Dot, DWR and IKEA, the West Elm platform bed is available in all five standard sizes from Twin to California King…read more at Apartment Therapy.

    Coffee Time

Since I recently posted about tea and the benefits of tea drinking, I decided to reach out to my coffee drinkers this time around. I read about this wonderful coffee time set from Plastica on Outblush this morning.

When you are hankering for your morning cup of java or evening ritual of a good cup of coffee, the Coffee Time Set by Plastica ($49) makes a perfect companion. The six cups and saucers is a great set to have handy for the home or office when a little caffeine is calling your name.

I figure it would make an ideal housewarming gift, wedding gift or office gift. You can use it for tea or coffee technically or serve with a nice dessert. The possibilities are endless folks.

    Here are the stats:

    Miller Cutting Board

Posted September 13, 2007 by michelle

I recently had an epiphany, I was wasting my face! I thought to myself, “Self your a cute girl, you’re wasting your face being so hefty” so I decided to do something about it. No more pills, no more drinks, no more magic short cuts. Just good ol’ fashion eating less and exercising. So far so good, I may not look any thinner but I feel much, much happier.

Now with this new mindset guiding me, I now shop the veggie sector of the local grocery much more frequently. Which is why I needed to find a better chopping board, turns out a decent salad is pretty hard to come by. So I have been trying to make my own at home, I have been doing a little researching and I decided on the Miller cutting board.

Here is why I like it:

    • It’s made of laminated “bamboo” and is harder than maple which means less knife marks (plus the Asian part of me loves bamboo…j/k)
    • Rubber feet resist rust and keep the board in place as you cut
    • High quality, stainless steel bowls (2 included) that you can put your chopped veggies or fruit into, it is set right into the board so you don’t have to do the whole pick up the board and slide food into bowl bit.

Here’s a closer look at the goods. It’s only $28 bucks. Can’t beat that with a stick!

Have fun making yummy salads or whatever you do with knives at home. Ha ha!
