    America's Scariest Home Haunts

Get paid for showcasing your Halloween Spirit! I found this great contest by FearNet where they are giving $50,000 dollars to the best decorated Haunted House! All you have to do is submit a 60-90 second video showing how you have decorated your home for Halloween (interior and or/exterior). Entries must be submitted by 10/26/2007.

Email all your friends and family, tell them to vote and you could receive free rent or mortgage payments for one full year (that’s $50,000 cash!). Top 10 videos will be featured on FearNet.com.

Click on the video above to view the “Davis Graveyard” which is a great haunted home in Milwaukee, Oregon decorated by Kris Davis and her husband Jeff. The highlight of their home is the huge yard that they decorate as a cemetery. It is truly awesome! They custom made their own decorations; they have a 3 story decrepit church front, specialized “mud men” and even talking heads! People wait almost 3 hours just to view their gruesome display. And if you go on their Davis Graveyard Website they actually show you how to make their most popular creations!

The way I see it if you love Halloween, its about time you received some monetary compensation and fame for your passionate efforts every year. Now get out there and get to decorating, I want to see a plethora of haunted homes this season.

    Haunted House Translucent Window Posters

Trick o’ Treat my ghouls and goblins…the bewitching hour is right around the corner so I have decided to dig up the second installment to my Halloween decoration series. I found some really great decorations, that range from professional quality to your store bought options. I will post about more high end decor later, but for now I wanted to show you this great haunted house decor that I found at TheHorrorDome.com that is inventive and reasonably priced.

Simply stick these full color, high resolution images in your windows for a freaky, floating image that really pops out. This amazing (and amazingly simple) scare is created with a secret formula to produce a dramatic effect with backlighting from household lamps. Posters measure 36″ X 60″ - sized to fully cover typical windows for maximum impact. Posters are easily hung with a patch of the included removable, surface-safe tape.

They vary in price from $14.99-$24.99

    HALLOWEEN, HALLOWEEN, HALLOWEEN…… :)

So you might guess that I love me some Halloween, and you would be right! It’s just around the corner so I figured we should begin our holiday decoration search now. Personally I like to find decor that is unique and that I don’t see everywhere.

I am very pleased with the following two discoveries. I think they are very festive, cute and original. My first find is the Spider Pumpkin Multi Tea Light Holder which is pictured above. It holds a total of 8 tea lights and would be perfect to decorate your patio as a spooky greeting to trick or treaters, or for setting the mood at your bloody horror party!

Spider Pumpkin Tea lights retails for $23.95

Displayed above is the creepy, crawly … Spider Web String Lights! These string lights come in a boxed set including ten orange light bulbs. Perfect for decorating your driveway, windows or patio. The string set is made of metal so it is durable and can be used for many holidays to come.

Spider Web String Lights retail for $21.95

Can you feel the Halloween spirit sweeping into your soul? I can feel my eyes slowing turning amber with the glow of pure wickedness!!

    Be afraid…be very afraid.
