Hot Tubbing: Presents for a Job Well Done

Posted August 25, 2009 by colleen

You, like everyone else, were probably hit with a little penny-pinching and belt-tightening this spring and summer. You probably didn’t buy all new swimsuits for yourself and the kiddies and cut the family vacation to the beach into a weekend getaway instead of a week-long spending spree.

But summer is done and the school year has arrived, the backpacks are packed and you might finally get a chance to relax without the kids around all the time. With all your money-saving for the past few months, this might bode well for your bank account: maybe it’s time to reward yourself for a job well done this summer and buy yourself something relaxing and refreshing for those fall afternoons. What do I suggest?

Deals on Pool and Beach Towels

Playing around in the waves of the sea or splashing in the backyard or neighborhood pool are some of my fondest, most relaxing memories from this summer so far. I’m not that big of a fan of swimming for exercise, but floating around in the water or feeling the squish of the wet sand beneath my toes is always one of my favorite things to do in the summer. When it’s really scorching, I know there are only a few necessities to complete a perfect day: loads of sunscreen, and a HUGE beach towel. I don’t like to be wasteful, so while I would say bring along two or three so you can have one to lay on, one for the first dip out of the water, and one for the second dip out of the water, I’ll just say pick one, enormous beach towel in a fun bright color and make a day of it. Though with all these cheap deals on packages of towels, I’m tempted to say bring along them all and show them off at the next pool party.

Seasonal Spotlights on Beach and Pool Towels:

Beach Basics: Striped 2-package Beach Towels by Target.com: $12.99

Blue Stripe Cabana Beach Towel by BeachTowelPlus.com: $12.00

Dream Maker Spas Fantasy Spa - Hot Tube Superstore

One day, when the stars and planets align, and Brad Pitt reaches for my hand in marriage, I will be able to afford and purchase a hot tub of my very own.. :)

Until that day I periodically like to browse for the latest designs, and dream a little dream in my head. All I am saying is if you can afford to purchase a hot tub what are you waiting for? Life is short, you should get on that, STAT!

I like this particularly number: The Dream Maker, Fantasy Spa

The name pretty sums it up folks. The Fantasy Spa features two person bucket seating with lumbar support, arm rests and multi-level jet placement. The state of the art balboa digital controls comes with digital color changing light package. It comes with beautiful patented color changing waterfall.

Made to be portable, durable and affordable. State of the art technology is used to create a one-piece totally portable and carefree spa for a fraction of the cost of most hot tubs. It is resistant to all weather types and plugs into your standard wall outlet. This Fantasy Spa is available in silver or sandstone colors.

    Price $3199

In truth that’s not a super a lot of money. I mean it is for me and my measly blogger salary, but who knows how much  you folks make! If I could afford it, I would definitely get it.

Sun Shade Inflatable Pools for Kids at Smarter Home and Garden Blog
Oh I thought this was super cute and fun for the kiddies. Tell you the truth I thought of it because my little nephew recently wanted to take a dip in the backyard, thing is we don’t own a pool anymore so we got him one of these inflatable pools.

Super fun and cute! Ours didn’t have one of these handy dandy shade covers so your in luck and you can buy the better version.

The Sun Shade Inflatable Pool retails for $24.99 (you save $5.00 off the original price) the shade part is removable in the event you would like to expose your kids to some good old vitamin D, but if they are the color of snow like me and my family then I suggest leaving the shade up. :)
