I may be the last enthusiast of decor that’s loving acrylic furniture and accessories right now. I’m going to be honest, when I first saw acrylic items, they were only featured as contemporary and modern pieces, all hard edges and lacking much needed life & soul. They weren’t as appealing as they are now.

Lucite, acrylic glass or just simple acrylic is a thermoplastic and transparent plastic. Its uses range from motorcycle visors to aquariums and I’m not totally sure but I’ve only seen it in the past few years as far as foraying into the home furniture and decor industry.

Chic and glam in a boudouir!

The Lucite take on a classic. Need I say more? I think I’m in love with this one!

Curves and details, who can resist the charm of this one?
Now, old and new designers are celebrating it, wholesalers are introducing their own line here and there and retailers and showrooms are proceeding to follow to enjoy the limelight, too. I might as well join the party and celebrate these new pieces with lines, much softer and curvier. A mix of classic and traditional design with the-now-material-of-choice. Celebrate Favoloso Lucite!
