Movies, music, television shows and now more television with exclusive HBO shows.

Apple and HBO announced today that they will now be selling HBO’s most popular shows in the Apple iTunes store. HBO joins an already impressive list of movies and television shows sold in iTunes and is sure to bring more popularity to the store by bringing such shows as The Sopranos and Sex and the City. Some other notable shows listed are The Wire, Deadwood, Rome and Flight of the Conchords.

Curious about the price of these HBO shows? Well, there is a slight price variation. For shows Sex and the City, The Wire and Flight of the Conchords, they are going to run for about $1.99 an episode. For The Sopranos, Deadwood, and Rome, they are $2.99 an episode. Customers also have the opportunity to purchase entire seasons of each of the shows.

Tonight’s the big night all you comic book, gadget crazed and/or movie buffs have been waiting for. Through all the movie trailers and sneak peeks, your wait is now over.

Tonight at 8 P.M., the movie Iron Man finally hits the theaters. So round up your $9 (or however much they’ve now hiked movie tickets up to),stuff sodas in your pockets and cover yourselves in aluminum and get in line to go see it!

I watch a lot of movies.

A lot of movies that involve some scientist who thinks that by creating a robot, it will help mankind in one way or another. They think that for some reason by creating these robots, they will benefit the society and everyone (and robot) will live happily ever after. But that’s not what happens now, is it? There is always an uprising, a revolution and eventual takeover by these robots. If you don’t believe me, watch iRobot.

Well, those pesky scientists are up to it again, as a group down at the MIT robotics department have come up with the Nexi Bot. This creepy little MDS robot is set up on a some wheel base contraption, and is equipped with arms and hands. What makes this even more creepy, is the robot can convey a wide range of emotions on it’s face.

But this isn’t the end.

Next up, they want the Nexi robots to be able to participate in Socially Situated Robot Learning, which allows the Nexi to observe and interact with humans and figure out how to best integrate with them.

Great. Robots that will be able to think for themselves. IS ANYONE ELSE SEEING THIS!? I’m telling you. Someone has to put an end to this quick.

You just wait. Once it’s head starts spinning and he starts biting your ankles, you’ll be upset that you didn’t listen to me.

And when you finally come to your senses, I’ll be laughing at you from atop the table, yelling “I told you so.” Suckers.

It’s the little things that can help to make learning more enjoyable.

Like for instance, the ABC3D pop-up book.

What better way to learn the alphabet than by having the words pop right at you? It make seem remedial at first, but by the looks of it, you just want to keep flipping the pages to see what unique way the letter will pop-up at you.

The ABC3D book is due out October 14th and for only $19.95, would make a great coffee table book, or diversion for five-year-olds.

What if after they pushed the button, and that song came over the PA that sang “it’s starting to feel a lot like Christmas.” Wouldn’t that be funny?

That’s how fast the Dillion M-134 minigun, mini-gatling gun, can spit out bullets.

Why is this relevant? Because when you start counting the seconds, you can count how many bullets cut down this tree, as the guys from Mythbusters have demonstrated.

I don’t know what’s more fun to watch. The tree tumbling and catching fire or watching a chick in a dress fire a high-powered weapon.

The plan was simple. Wait for the sky to clear up and launch a missile into the atmosphere to destroy it. The thing was only traveling at a modest 17,000 mph and hovered 153 miles above the Earth.

For those of you who haven’t been paying much attention, the government had lost control of its spy satellite that was launched back in December of 2006. Not only did they not want the sophisticated and secret imaging sensor to fall into the wrong hands, among other information, the satellite was carrying about 1,000 pounds of frozen, toxic hydrazine propellant. In other words, really bad stuff.

The government is still tracking the debris up there, but they said we have nothing to worry about. But if some camera or a roll of film falls on your head, you might want to call someone.
