Do you remember when the Star Wars movies would come out and everyone would wait outside in long lines, dressed up in their favorite character from the movies?

With the new Batman movie coming out, The Dark Knight, wouldn’t it be nice to take it up another notch and roll up to the premiere in your own original Batmobile from the Tim Burton Batman movies?

Holy rusted metal! You mean we can!?! (Sorry, that was my poor attempt at a Robin quote).

Anyways, right now on eBay, this Batmobile owner is selling one of the five original cars from the movies. Despite the lack of doors (you’ll have to be limber enough to jump through the roof), it does come with a 5.7 liter engine hidden beneath that 20-feet frame.

Cape, Bat Cave and traits to becoming a vigilante of the night are not included.

Tonight’s the big night all you comic book, gadget crazed and/or movie buffs have been waiting for. Through all the movie trailers and sneak peeks, your wait is now over.

Tonight at 8 P.M., the movie Iron Man finally hits the theaters. So round up your $9 (or however much they’ve now hiked movie tickets up to),stuff sodas in your pockets and cover yourselves in aluminum and get in line to go see it!

Those of you who couldn’t place your orders to Netflix Monday morning were given a credit of 5 percent to your Netflix account for the site being down.

The online movie rental giant said that this credit is only given to those customers who tried to place your orders on Monday, in hopes to receive their online movie rental by Tuesday. Netflix wouldn’t say how many customers accounts would receive the credit, but would say it was “not a majority” of the company’s 7.5 million customers.

So if I were you and I had a Netflix account, I’d go to the site right now to see if you were givent he 5 percent credit.

Apparently it takes more than a DeLorean and 88 mph to send someone back in time.

A group of Russian mathematicians has said that after the atom-smashing machine at the European Particle Physics Centre near Geneva opens up in April, the ridiculous speed in which they smash the atoms will be enough to allow small particles to be sent through time.

Apparently these mathematicians didn’t play close enough attention to Doc Brown in Back to the Future. It’s not the speed that matters in time travel, but the flux capacitor and just a little bit of uranium to make it possible.

Now as for getting back once you’re in 1955, you’re on your own trying to find a bolt of lightning and a clock tower.

So rumor has it, Apple is going to hike their movie prices up to $15 in their iTunes Store in order to lure in more movie options and titles. And after taking a peek into iTunes a few minutes ago and seeing some titles priced at just that, the rumors appear to be true.

Although this price jump would still save people a few bucks from buying a DVD, which usually vary around $18 to $20 for a new DVD, it is a price raise nonetheless that consumers I’m sure won’t take a liking to.

According to a report by Pali Research analyst Richard Greenfield, Apple is raising the average selling price of the movies in the iTunes Store in a bid to gain extra support for their service.

Also, stores such as Walmart have threatened to reduce or end support for studios who sell their movies on iTunes because they heavily undercut their business and studios have been reluctant to sell their movies on iTunes because of this as well. So in an effort to lure more movies from studios such as 20th Century Fox, Apple is said to be raising their prices up a bit to try to make everyone happy.

ALVIN!!!!!!!!!

If that one-word rings a bell in your little noggin’, then he needs no introduction. I randomly stumbled across this trailer this morning and I thought I’d share.

Since I mentioned an 80’s cartoons earlier, I had to post this.

Apparently it looks like there is an Alvin and the Chipmunks movie coming out soon and it doesn’t look too shabby. It definitely looks like it captures the humor and the practical jokes that made the cartoon popular.

Not too long ago, I wrote a post about how Nike had released the Transformers shoes to celebrate the release of the movie. Well, it looks like they now have a bit of competition.

Reebok has come up with a shoe of their own, the Voltron series. You guys remember them don’t you? The cartoon show that featured five lion robots that formed into one giant fighting machine.

Before you get too excited for this piece of footwear, I must warn you. This shoe is only available in Singapore at the moment. Score one for Transformers.

I see an intergalactic battle on the horizon.

Nicola Pugno, a professor of structural mechanics at the Polytechnic University of Turin in Italy has published his research in the Institute of Physics’ Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter about how he would develop a suit that would allow a human to scale buildings just like the superhero.

Pugno said that the suit would have gloves and boots that would have engineered molecules of carbon nanotubes that would allow people to cling to walls. The glove would even be able to sling an invisible cable. His inspiration he said came from geckos and not spiders, because of their ability to cling to any surface.

That’s great if it’ll help me crawl up buildings and swing from the top of skyscrapers, but is it going to protect me from that 200 foot free fall into the concrete just in case my web decides to snap.

And better yet. Is it gonna be available in black or red?
