<p>Finally, kids using their time for good rather than playing video games.</p>
<p>Twelve-year-old <strong>Max Wallack</strong> submitted his<strong> &#8220;Home Dome&#8221;</strong> design to the contest,<strong><em> Trash to Treasure</em></strong>, where people design and build homeless shelters from materials that can be found in landfills. Wallack&#8217;s design, inspired by a Mongolian yurt, is made from plastic, wire, and packing peanuts. Hmm&#8230;the one picture above looks awfully clean after being created from materials from your local dump.</p>
<p>Anyways, Wallack&#8217;s time not only gave someone a shelter, but he also won $10,000, a Dell laptop and a trip to Boston.</p>
