Watches Sell for $300,000. Wait? They Don’t Tell Time?

It’s amazing to me what people will pay money for and what they won’t?
For instance, you’ve all seen the little girl scouts or school children standing outside your local grocery store trying to sell you a box of cookies or a candy bar for buck. And usually that dollar or how ever much you donate, goes towards something meaningful. Like research for cancer, books for students, mole removal. Whatever. It does something.
Now, most people just walk on by and never donate a thing.
But now when it comes to a $300,000 watch that doesn’t tell time, they sell like hot cakes.
Well, that’s not entirely true. It can tell you whether the sun is up or down. A great device if you don’t know when to go to bed or wake up in the morning. Something corpses deal with every day. And when this watch was put up for sell, they sold out within 48 hours. Now whether or not the people who bought the watches know how long 48 hours was when it passed by, beats me.
I can’t stop banging my head on my keyboard thinking about this. I can’t make any logic of it.
I don’t know. If anyone needs me, I’ll be dropping $200,000 on a telephone that doesn’t dial out or receive calls. But it’s OK. It comes with a phone number to let me know I’m in touch with the world in some form another.
