Google Executives Pledged their Life Together for 20 Years

    Larry Page and Sergey Brin

No, Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin aren’t getting hitched, but rather they, along with Chief Executive Eric Schmidt, pledged to stick with the company for 20 years after Google went public.

According to an interview in the February issue of Fortune magazine, Schmidt said, “we agreed the month before we went public that we should work together for 20 years.” If they stick to their pact, Schmidt would retire at 69 years old, Page at 51 and Brin at 50.

Why these three guys would make a pact like this when they know they would be rakin’ in the dough, is beyond me.

If I were them, I’d be calling in sick for 20 years.

Apple MacBook Air is the Thinnest Notebook Around

    Apple MacBook Air

Next week consumers will be able to get their hands on something that appears to be no thicker than a stack of paper, and by the looks of it, just as easy to crush.

But regardless, I’m sure people will be flocking to computer stores and Best Buys everywhere to pick up the new Apple MacBook Air.

Steve Jobs has really outdone himself with this invention. We’ve all seen for years that laptops are getting thinner and lighter, but this thing is insane. This laptop measures in at three-quarters of an inch at its thickets point and has a 13.3″ screen and a full-size keyboard. Now if you’re curious about how much this thing weighs, it comes in at only THREE POUNDS. In addition to the aluminum exterior, it also has some new software features such as fingertip gestures for the touch pad like Apple included on their iPhone.

    And the price?

Next week consumers will be forking out $1,800 for the 80 GB hard drive and 2 GB of memory and for the faster, 64-gigabyte and speedier version costs a staggering $3,100.

Blackberry to go Pink, Hopes to Cut into iPhone Sales

First it was the Apple iPod Nano to go pink and now it looks like another company is jumping on the bandwagon.Pink Blackberry

The Blackberry is now releasing their own pink version in hopes to help cut into Apple iPhone sales.

Although RIM may be trying to cut into the female based market with the new color, I’m pretty sure that someone should also tell the company that the reason why they are losing in the market is because the iPhone is so much cooler.

Pretty much everything this time of year is colored pink and red and Apple is jumping on the bandwagon with their media player.Pink Apple iPod Nano

Apple announced recently that they were releasing their iPod Nano in pink to help celebrate Valentine’s Day.

    Not a bad idea.

I don’t know how long Apple will be leaving the pink iPod nano on the shelves, but I suggest they at least keep it going for a bit after Valentine’s Day so that the guy’s who forget about the holiday, have a chance to bail themselves out with this unique gift.

Cow Farts to Become Less Lethal to Environment?

    Farting Cows and Methane Gas

Beans, beans the magical fruit. The more you eat ‘em, the more you toot.

How I miss grade school. Too bad that little rhyme doesn’t apply to cows and the grass they eat.

We’ve been hearing for years how the blast from a cow’s rear-end has been harmful to our sensitive ozone layer (and my sinuses), but it looks like some Japanese scientists have come up with a healthy diet to help calm their farts.

At a dollar per cow, they would give the cow some food addictives that are a blend of nitrates and the amino acid cysteine to help fight the methane production in the cow’s stomach, making their toots less harmful to Mother Earth.

I wonder if I blend this into my uncle’s oatmeal, it’ll help fight our own battle at home.

Insignia Digital Frames at Best Buy

It looks like Best Buy has confirmed that they did sell infected digital pictures over the holiday, yet there still hasn’t been any announcement about recalls.

The electronics store giant said that they pulled the Insignia 10.4-inch digital frames off their shelves and discontinued the product once they knew of the virus and are “connecting with our customers who may have been impacted.”

Best Buy hasn’t said how many customers were actually infected by the frames, but they are continuing to investigate. Whether or not they plan on doing a recall remains to be seen.
