I know I’m jumping the gun a day early, but I couldn’t resist.

With the release of NCAA Football 08 set for tomorrow, it’s only a matter of time before all your buddies disappear for weeks while they take their alma mater to the Rose Bowl.

Aim high for a national championship, build a dynasty full of blue chip recruits or try out the new campus legend mode and bring a freshman up through the ranks.

On the cover of this year’s game though is Jared Zabranksy from Boise State. I thought that EA Sports had a history of putting up high profile players on their cover? What happened? I mean, he wasn’t too shabby in college while at Boise State, but the guy didn’t even get drafted in this year’s draft. Why not Brady Quinn? Jamarcus Russell? Even Mr. Irrelevant Ramzee Robinson!

Well, Zabransky did eventually get picked up on a free agent contract by the Houston Texans, so I guess he’s made it.
