PS 3 Prices Are Not Going Down Anytime Soon
If you’ve been waiting for the Playstation 3 price to come down, it looks like you’re going
to be waiting a little longer.
According to Sony President Ryoji Chubachi, they have “no plans” at this time to lower the price of the gaming console that now sits at $599.99.
Many thought, including me, that they would drop down the price a bit to compete with the Nintendo Wii.
Screw it. I’m not going to buy another gaming console. For us poor folk, we can’t afford it so I’m going old school.
I’m going buy some checkers…
That is until they lower the price. What can I say, I’m weak.

i dont think the price point is the problem.
no good games to play, thats the problem. “a system” does well when they have “exclusives”, and sony is losing them left and right. they lost Merc2, Assassin Creed, to 360 right of the bat. Devel May Cry followed, and now there are rumors that Metal Gear (one of sonys big guns for some time) will be ported to 360 some time after its release. XBOX 360’s best seller Gears of War already said it will not be formated to the PS3. sony stated there will be over 300 titles coming out next year for the PS3, how many will be exclusives? and how many will be good?
with E3 next week maybe we’ll get some answers.

Of course Sony is going to deny this. If they confirmed it, no one would buy a PS3 because they know a price drop is just around the corner.
