
Well, we’ve heard her sing about Seven Jeans, True Religion, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi and Donna Karan, but now, according to The Times UK, Fergie will add Candie’s to her retail roll call. For a price!
That’s right, the woman who made “lady lumps” a household phrase has entered into a $4 million first-of-its-kind product placement deal with Candie’s. But she’s not just agreeing to wear Candie’s fashions in her videos (you know, like how she flashed the Samsung MP3 player in her very Candie’s-like “Fergalicious” video)–she’s actually getting paid to drop the company’s name in her songs! And here I thought she had so much integrity.
In addition to singing about the label, the deal requires Fergie to appear in tv advertisements for Candie’s and allow her fans to be dressed up by the companies “style advisers” at her shows.
I’m at a loss for words.
