Look out Nicole Richie. Word on the street is that Lily Allen is launching her own jewelry line. The 24-year-old’s eponymous line will drop in late September according to UK Magazine Grazia. The look? “Eclectic London”. Hmmm. Sounds good, but could, just could go bad. I trust Allen enough to make some good design choices though, she has some funky style.
According to The Insider, Allen has already invited Londoners to come try and check out her line, and is planning to unveil the collection to the fashion press, this week on July 27th. The line will consist of nine different collections, expect to see some floral in one of them. She is targeting a wide age bracket, 14-40 apparently. The line will hit stores in late September. This is Allen’s second design effort, and hopefully a most successful one for her.
Among other exciting news, Allen is on her way to becoming a fashion world darling. This October, she will be unveiled as a new face for Chanel handbags, being added to the roster of Keira Knightly, Nicole Kidman, and Kate Moss–those that have come before her. Why Allen? Karl Lagerfield simply said, “she’s fun!” She is indeed, and this is definitely a step in the right direction for the young artist.

Wanna bite some of her style? Its not too hard. Allen has always had that eclectic cool look to her, and still kept some punk cred with the mouth of a sailor (past bouts include a drunken run-in with Elton John). Allen’s all about the pretty pink dresses, with black combat boots. I like to envision her like this…like a sort of 90’s baby, with some definite Courtney Love influences. The long black locks have suited her best but she likes to take chances and sport pink wigs sometimes…not so into that look. Just stick to a little floral dress that maybe has a big bow on it, some black tights, and long straight hair with a flower in it…and you’re set.
P.S. Don’t forget the liquid eyeliner! It’s one of her beauty staples to accentuate those big hazel colored eyes. If I were Allen’s stylist, I would put her in these lovely little frocks…
