This morning on Denimology, I read about PimpMyJeans. com, a site dedicated to bedazzling denim. At PimpMyJeans, you can send in your own pair or buy new ones from them ($72) and then the customizing begins. They’ll shorten your jeans for you, make them into a skirt, dip them in bleach, stencil them, take an airbrush to them, encrust them with rhinestones, attach ribbons to them, patch them up, stamp them, trim them with feathers, and a myriad of other strange things. Their “Custom Product of the Month” appears to the right. Hmmm.
I have to say that none of that sounds appealing to me, but I know some people will embrace the service, and I applaud PMJ’s entrepreneurial spirit. I am really concerned about the heat transfers, though:
