The idea is that you can use the cuff for your daily cup, instead of wasting paper with that disposable cozy they give you. That’s cool, but honestly I’m just into the look of it.  I’ve been a fiend for wooden jewelry ever since I bought this chic little wooden ring from my trip to Tulum, Mexico this summer.  Enough about me, though, let’s get back to the issue at hand.

I like that it has the allure of an antique store or flea market find, so you get all the vintage style you want minus the task of riffling through a box of dead people’s rings while the shopkeeper eyes you suspiciously.  Isn’t that always how it is?

Ah, the luxury of Jean Paul Gaultier. These earrings are fantastic–they’re so hip and classically elegant at the same time, just like most Gaultier offerings. They’re made of aged brass and crystals, and though I usually shrink away from wearing hearts (although some people, like my mother for instance, can really rock ‘em with amazing style), these I like. They would be perfect with an up ‘do and a jewel toned top, but they’d also do well with a little white dress. Fancy.

It’s official, Drew Barrymore is the new face of Gucci jewelry. This comes right on the heels of her CoverGirl deal–I guess you can be the face of lots of products. And Drew’s got a long history of representing. Who can forget the Guess ads from her wild child days?

Can you believe I found this on a site called online sports.com? Me neither, but there it was in silver and gold looking as stylish as can be along side sterling silver Texas Longhorns charms. This little beauty is a real Greek Drachma that they layered and poked a hole into. It comes with a chunky chain, too, but I would take that off and put it on a simple cord or a thinner chain.

This pendant is a great entry into the bird trend that’s been flourishing this season.

Around Mother’s Day I noticed a few blogs promoting this Etsy nest pendant, and I thought it was weird. I don’t think it’s cute at all, and I’m rather certain my mom wouldn’t appreciate it as a gift. Maybe I’m egg phobic, but it just kind of grosses me out–don’t birds use hair and other sick stuff to make nests? I couldn’t ever wear such a thing.

Now, I’ve come across a new piece of eggy jewelry, and I’m even more disturbed:

I think a baby turtle coming into the world is a beautiful, wondrous thing, but I don’t want to display a 14 karat gold depiction of this event around my neck. I bet they’re really slimy and alien like when they emerge out of the confines of the egg. Maybe I just have a general fear of nature.

But, alas, I know a lot of people are into turtles, so if the fancy strikes you, this pendant will set you back $125. Hmm….
