Abandoned, Trouble Mistress Look (we don’t condone the cigarette, folks): think Bedhead hair and a eyeliner smudges, a bit of Western fashion and all about the ragged hems. To be equally troubled (but not in a fashion-sense), check out these finds:

What Do I Do With All My Shoes!?

Posted September 25, 2008 by lindsy

Well, hello again! Sorry it’s been a while, I was trying to fit all of my scarves on my Hijab Organizer I lost track of ideas!

This week I’m going to share with you some really neat ways to keep your shoes in reach, maybe in sight, but OUT. OF. THE. WAY. I don’t know about you girls, but I have fifty million pairs of heels, sneakers, clogs, flip-flops, sandals, boots, you-name-it… I have it. So what do I do with all of them when I keep buying more that wont fit in my collection? This –

                                                                     Under-the-bed sliding gadgets!

This one above is a simple wire rack on wheels that slides right under your bed for easy movement and accessibility. You can find about 6-8 pairs of shoes (depending on the sizes) on here, and if you slide them in the long way you can get two and store 12 pairs!!

                                                                             Over-the-Closet Holders!

Places like HomeDepot.com and Homefurniture2go.com sell shoe racks that hang on doors, like the two photos below. They range from about $30-$40 and hold up to 24 pairs of shoes!

                                                                    $42.99                                         $43

I’m tellin’ ya, there are so many different kinds of shoe racks – it’s unbelievable! But then again, I guess not with how many shoes I own… I need ‘em!

For men too, now you can organize your dress shoes from your work shoes from your work-out shoes to your relaxin’ shoes! No more dogs chewing your brand new slides – we’re here to keep them up, away, and organized!

                                                                                            $75

Here are some other organizers to look for in comparison to styles and prices:

                                                                      $23.30 – closet shoe hanger

                                                                     $99.98 – Triple Shoe Cabinet

$9.98 – under the bed box

    AND MY ULTIMATE FAV…

                                                                       $35-$65 - RakkuDesigns.com

Color organized and ready to wear! I think I get to sleep in tomorrow… no more extra scrambling time for my missing shoe!

See, organizing is fun! You just need to get started on the right foot. :)

    Oktoberfest 2008: The Fashion Edition

Posted September 24, 2008 by colleen

Christmas in Paris has become such a cliché…and when it gets to that time of year, you’ll be hearing from me about exactly what to pack. But why wait for some international festivities when Munich has you covered until October (or should I say, Oktober) 5th. Leiderhosen, for all it’s unmarketable crotch-cruelty qualities, is the answer to another dressy fall occasion (ahem, Halloween), not your first trip to Deutschland.

With the opening ceremonies this past weekend, there are an abundant of fashionable beers and inebriated fashionistas to discuss, and mimic. Maybe book a trip for next year?

I love the loose cotton undershirt with tighter vest look, it’s very hippie and organic. Corsets are a little much for the every day, but they certainly add an authentic German milkmaid quality.

Find that Look:  Victorian Black Velvet Lace Up Top: $119.99

I am absolutely fascinated by this hat. Try as I might to look up “elfin hat” on Amazon.com, I decide my best bet to mimic this look is to take a trip to the fabric store and sew this pretty little thing on my own. This was the closest I could find without jingle bells.

(Kinda) Find that Look: Robin Hood Fancy Dress Hat: £7.99

Knitted leggings are colorful, fun, and warm. Though your legs may need a bit more protection than these provide amongst many a-drunkin’ fellow, the patterns are fun to copy.

Find that Look:  1st Fantasies Hot Link Over the Knee Thigh Highs: $3.49

    School Girl Blues

For any of you who are back in school, it’s highly likely that you may be suffering from a classic case of back to school blues. But not to fret my friends, a good dose of fashion just might do the trick.

This week’s look is from Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2008 show. It was really the only thing that popped out at me from the collection, which consisted of some very masculine looks overall. I like the whole collared shirt under v-neck sweater thing for fall.

Although quite preppy, one can’t help but feel polished and pulled together when sporting such a style.
