So, I was totally crazy-tweeting yesterday morning, catching up on the latest in the blogosphere and, you know, the rest of the world. And although I am not all seriousness when it comes to my Twitter chats, I did have a big question for one of fashion’s elite.
You see, I’m totally gearing up for fall. I’m pretty much obsessed with the most glamorous season in the fashion calendar and there are so many great trends for the season: 70′s flashback, mixed prints and luxe crimson, to name a few. But, of course, a gal can only afford so much. You’ve got to be smart when it comes to your style purchases and think about pieces to invest in.
So, I asked Project Runway judge and fashion director of Marie Claire, Nina Garcia, the big question for fall fashion: “If a girl could only buy one new item for fall, what should she purchase?”
…and she responded! Much to my delight. And her answer did not disappoint, loves. Nina said, “I love a great trench coat. Xo”
Ah, the trench. The absolutely perfect investment piece for the fall season. It adds instant polish to any look, and goes great with a pair of skinny jeans and boots, or just a simple LBD. Leave it to Nina to remind us of timeless fashion. In the midst of all the trends, the sophisticated classics never go out of style.
