Weekly Roundup: Moss Wears Galliano, The Royals Arrive in Canada

It’s Friday! Who’s ready for a three-day weekend? I’m sure you all are, but before we dive into the fun and excitement of the holiday weekend, let’s look back at a few of this week’s buzz-worthy stories…

Just when one celeb wedding buzz dies down (ahem – The Royal Wedding), another comes right in to take the spotlight. Today was a big day for Kate Moss. It was her BIG day. The 37-year-old model walked down the aisle in what many had suspected: John Galliano. After months of secrecy and rumors about who would design Moss’ dress, the blushing bride chose her close friend of many years, Galliano, to be her designer, despite his recent troubles. From one newlywed to the next, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have landed in Canada today (Happy Canada Day, by the way!). As one might expect, the ever-so-fashionable Kate Middleton arrived in style. Upon her departure from the UK, Middleton sported a navy blazer from Canadian label Smythe, and somewhere between the flight across the pond and arrival in Ottowa, changed into a lace sheath dress by Erdem, another Canadian label. Heading back to the United Kingdom, Alexa Chung, Kate Moss and Bono came out in style at Glastonbury last weekend. While the West Coast has Coachella, where the sun shines and the temperatures are high, the UK has Glastonbury, where the sun may or may not shine, and bouts of rain are guaranteed. But that doesn’t stop the Brits from having a good time. Instead, they tread the muddy festival grounds in style with their must-have essential: Wellies.
