As much as I like the look of golden tan skin, I’m not a fan of the damage the sun can cause to the skin. So, in an effort to protect myself, I try my best to put on SPF everytime I step out of the house. I worry about getting wrinkles caused by the sun so, to prevent that, I top off my outfit with a fashionable hat. And I love summer time hats – they are so much fun! Here’s one that I scored last year from Target’s collaboration with Eugenia Kim. It’s become a staple in my summer wardrobe and will be bringing it on vacation with me.
The fedora is such a cute way to add a touch of personality to your outfit. Most summer months you can go really simple with your outfit since the weather may call for nothing more beyond a tank top and shorts, but adding a fedora will instantly perk up your outfit!

This open weave fedora is the perfect color for a hot summer day and the fun floral ribbon is a great accent. I’d wear this with a pair of hot pink shorts and a loose fitting t-shirt for a perfectly cute and casual look.
Lastly, another reason why I really like the fedora is because most of them don’t fit too tightly on the head, so if you need to take your hat off you’ll never have hat head! For best results, leave the hair loose with some curls or, another great look, a cute side pony tail to help keep you cool for the summer!
