Happy Friday, lovelies! In honor of this wonderful occasion, let’s play a little game.
As I have long been saying on this blog, I am a big proponent of style in all its forms: fashion, health, beauty, happiness, and all that good stuff that fills your life with joy. So this weekend, I hope you embrace a little bit of style in the form of guilty pleasures. Sunday is Mother’s Day, but I insist you take Saturday all for yourself. Now, on to the game!
I have been mentally planning my fabulous weekend with activities I deem totally stylish–but they’re guilty pleasures. So, don’t judge me! But here’s what I will be doing this weekend. I’ll tell you what I’m up to, then you have to spill. Here are a few ideas of mine to get your creative juices flowing.
Don’t Judge Me if…
I watch the royal wedding for the fourth time. And get all emotional. Again. Every time I see Kate get out of that car in her gorgeous Alexander McQueen gown and walk up next to a smiling Prince William, it sends my romantic heart aflutter. (And c’mon. That dress! Fashion at its finest.)
I buy a stack of full-price magazines from Target and waste several hours devouring the trends/news/style/glossy photos. On the reading list? Nylon, New York, Glamour, InStyle and Vogue. Note to friends: Don’t call or text. I will be occupied with serious business.
I actually spend money on another black/gray/brown item for my closet. I know, I know, I know I need to infuse some color into my wardrobe. But, really, I probably won’t succeed overwhelmingly in that endeavor. I am a black-addict.
I skip a workout this weekend because I’m too busy watching Fashion Police on E! Guilty pleasure? Oh, yeah. Right up there with Real Housewives of New Jersey and Teen Mom. (Remember: No judging!)
Get too much beauty sleep this weekend. For some reason when I have a particularly unproductive week, it wears me out. This was just one of those weeks. So expect me to climb into my fuzzy bathrobe after painting my toe nails in a sweet shade of OPI pink and sleep until someone forces me awake. Gosh, I’m excited already!
