Happy Blogger Tuesday, lovelies!
Is the weather in your city nice yet? (If so, consider me way jealous.) Where I’m located, it’s still all over the map–sunny and 75 degrees one day, rainy and 50 degrees the next. I desperately want to break out my pretty li’l dresses and wedge heels and call it summer but, unfortunately, it’s not warm enough for that just yet.
If you’re on the same boat, don’t fret. I’ve enlisted a little style help from blogger Marina over at Fashion.MakeUp.Lifestyle. She’s shown us exactly how to transition into the warmer part of spring, without sacrificing any sartorial sensibilities along the way. Let’s take a peek at her look, ladies!
Try a white blazer. I am lovin’ Marina’s white blazer (it reminds me of the one in the back of my closet that I obviously need to pull out ASAP!). Try picking up a similar piece of your own. The white is fresh for spring, but the heavier weight will still keep you warm on days, or even mornings, when the cool-weather chill hasn’t quite worn off yet. A very chic option!
Cuff your jeans and show off your heels. A springtime fashion tip: cuff those jeans! Just like Marina has done here, rolling the hem will allow you to highlight your gorgeous heels. Marina’s cut-out pumps are so on-trend for the season, and I love that this trick has made a pair of gray, neutral heels standout.
Layer, layer, layer. For spring, layers are an absolute must. Marina has on a lightweight tee underneath her blazer, so in case she gets a little too hot during the day, she can easily slip it off and just wear the shirt (with those awesome, long necklaces, of course!).
Use a bold nail color. As the weather gets warmer and you’re showing off your nails (sans gloves) and toenails (sans covered shoes), choose bold nail polish. Think of this piece of your beauty routine as if you’re adding an accessory to your outfit. If you’re keeping it chic with all neutral items, amp up your look with a statement shade of nail color, like Marina has done here; a pretty purple.
Okay, kids. Now, go check out Marina’s blog (which is packed with personal style posts, makeup reviews, and great photos!). And of course, have a fab Tuesday.
