Blogger Style: Think Spring

It’s that time of week again, fashion mavens… Blogger Tuesday! Today, I’ve got a certified style siren to introduce to y’all. Oh, and we’re also “thinking spring” with this post, and I may be biased after this unending winter, but warm-weather fashion is never a bad thing. Right?

Marissa is a fashion intern at Foley + Corinna by day, a fashion blogger at Taste & Style Files by night. Most importantly? She lives and breathes genuine style. Her looks are always fresh, young and pulled-together. And what’s more? Her sartorial smarts, while chic, always seem attainable. Which is amazing. And tough to master. That’s why I’m heading straight to the source. Let’s break down one of her fabulous looks (and then you can go check out her blog for more, of course).

Don’t be afraid of color. For spring, the Little Red Dress has basically replaced the Little Black Dress. Go bold in a solid like Marissa has here. Forget about the LBD. The LRD is just as flattering and a lot more eye-catching for the summer days on the horizon.

Accessorize with gold. There once was a time when I only wore silver. My goodness, was I ever missing out. With the bohemian-chic trend resurfacing for spring, think gold accents, which are softer than silver, like Marissa did here with her statement jewelry.

Think spring with a creme bag. Creme bags are hard to wear when the weather is cooler, so embrace the look for spring. Invest in a buttery, leather carryall to tote around all your necessities. Marissa’s is the absolute perfect size. It’s large enough to attract some major attention without stepping into that weird, suitcase-territory. Doesn’t it look fab with her outfit? I’m sort of dying over it.

Embrace your hair’s natural texture. Put away those blow dryers, straightening irons and hot rollers. There’s no need for damaging your pretty locks. Take a cue from Marissa and go for effortless beauty. All you need this season is one simple hair product: A little volumizing mousse. Scrunch a bit into your hair and let it air dry, or twist into braids at night and let loose in the morning. Easy and pretty!

What do you guys think of Marissa’s sweet look? Which of these trends are you most excited about for spring? Sound off in the comments, and then make sure to skip on over to M’s blog for more fashion tips.
