It’s a fact: Most women aren’t 100 percent happy with their bodies 100 percent of the time. Please, tell me if I’m way off base, but I don’t think so. The Kate Moss-type gals want Kim Kardashian curves, or vice versa. We ladies just always want what we can’t have, and I am the first to admit that I fall into that trap all the time. It’s human nature. But gradually, I’ve come to realize it just is what it is. You have to learn to dress your body type.
But no matter how you’re proportioned, an ill-fitting silhouette or poor choice of color can make you look heavier than you want to. So, you have to learn the art of getting dressed and what shapes look best on bodies. Look slim and gorgeous all the time. Follow these simple rules.
1. Always show your smallest part. Everything looks better belted. Highlight a small waist by tying something around your middle. My favorite look? If you have on a basic sheath dress, then try a pretty ribbon or skinny belt.
2. “Tight” is never good. Clothes should be fitted, as in, they should fit you. But if you’re having trouble breathing, or they are just flat-out uncomfortable, then they are probably not right for you. Too-tight clothes are as ill-fitting as they are ill-feeling. Don’t fall for the “It almost fits” trick in the store and buy that adorable dress that’s one size too small. There is something just as cute in your correct size.
3. Notice the cut. When you’re wearing a cardigan or blazer, where does the bottom fall? If it’s at your hips, then you’re wearing the most slimming cut. If it’s at your waist, the cut is cutting you off! Not the best way to go.
4. Try a high-waisted silhouette. Celebs rock this look all the time due to its thinning effects. A pair of wide-leg jeans with a high-waist are perfect when you tuck in a tee and belt with a thick waist-cincher to show off your tiny middle.
5. Handle horizontal stripes with care. Wear these in moderation, and be careful. Horizontal stripes widen you out, so learn the tricks to pulling them off. If you’re busty, make sure the striped top is a scoop-neck and if you were blessed with a round rear, then make sure the stripes are neutrals.
6. Buy nude pumps. Looking instantly taller creates the illusion of length and a slim shape, so invest in some lovely nude heels to make your legs seem miles long and give you that major height. Bonus? They go with every outfit!

Thanks for sharing the tips of what to wear in summer … i would also say that stay away from jeans and tight clothes
Great tips. As an Image Consultant I show women how to dress to look 10-20 pounds slimmer and these tips are my top key points. Great job!
Love the advice! Yes fitted is best and avoid anything tights… muffin tops are for eating only.
