Hi, y’all! Ready for today’s blogger style subject? Good! Meet Michaela from Michaela Noelle Designs. She is a budding interior designer and a little bit of a fashion ingenue on the side. Her blog is the perfect mix of decorating and style, so head on over and check it out!
Michaela recently teamed up with photo-blogger Mandy Chiappini (check out her professional snaps right here!) to bring us a few style shots that showcase the “Urban Cowgirl” look. Michaela’s outfit is feminine and pretty, and the details are as sweet as she is. Let’s break down her style so we can steal it for ourselves.
Creme is the color of the season. Spring fashions were absolutely saturated in this gorgeous hue, and the simplicity is definitely on target. A loose sweater or cardi is a fabulous way to work the shade into your everyday look before daring to go head-to-toe in off-white (which can be a scary thought…).
A soft-pink prairie skirt is the perfect piece. Breezy silhouettes are a springtime standard, and the prairie skirt is one of those easy pieces that goes with everything. From cowboy kicks to strappy wedges, it’s one piece that every carefree spirit should have in her closet.
Are cowgirl boots ever a bad idea? Of course not! They are the most versatile piece on the planet, so invest in an amazing pair of cowgirl boots, especially in a rich chocolate brown. They provide an instant dose of style-cred, whether you choose to wear them with skinnies tucked in or a pretty, floaty skirt like Michaela’s. Plus, like Audrey Hepburn’s LBD or a great pair of jeans, they are essentially timeless.
Keep the jewelry pretty and simple. No fuss is necessary for this look! Michaela has it just right. Grab a simple pair of diamond stud-earrings and a playful necklace (Michaela’s has assorted baubles, like pearls and flowers!), and you’re set to go. This is one time where I will tell you not to OD on accessories…
Loose waves keep the look sweet and girlie. Stick-straight locks would be too severe for this look, so keep your hair loose and wearable with wind-blown waves. This is the easiest look to create. Grab a set of hot rollers (my absolute favorite beauty investment) or a large-barreled curling iron for Blake Lively-esque curls. Love!
What do you guys think of Michaela’s look? Does it make you think of spring? Are you ready to invest in a pair of cowgirl boots or a super-femme prairie skirt? Sound off!
