Eos to the Rescue

The month’s glossies may be brimming with Spring trend stories, but we still have a good month or two of blistering winds before we can bust out our florals and whites. Cracked lips, dry elbows, and red hands are just some of the traits that plague many of us during these dark, dull months – but it doesn’t have to be that way!

Finding moisturizing hand cream that is at once long-lasting and portable, finding a body lotion that will hydrate your skin without leaving your body too greasy to slip into your clothes, and finding a lip balm that doesn’t smell overly artificial, doesn’t give you sticky lips, or require you to stick your finger (just think of the germs!) into a pot – is quite the challenge. Sure, I have great recommendations for all three if budget isn’t an issue – L’Occitane hand cream? FAB! La Mer Body Lotion? To die! Fresh Sugar Lip Scrub Treatment? Works every time! But let’s face it, $140 for Body Lotion doesn’t fit into most non-J.Lo budgets. In comes eos aka the evolution of smooth and my frugal winter savior.

eos first got me hooked with their shaving creams which retail for under $4 (in other words….less than my AM soy lattee), but look like they’d go for 5 times the price. They come packaged in easy-to-grip bottles with colors that reflect their scents (i.e. popping fuchsia for Pomegranate Raspberry, cream for Vanillas Bliss….), and they’re super moisturizing for a clean, comfortable shave. I know it’s tempting to let hair grow grizzly bear-style in the winter, but don’t give into the temptation! After launching their shaving creams, eos launched their lip balm spheres. I’ve been using mine throughout the day for months and it’s nowhere near being done. It looks awesome, is seriously moisturizing, and leaves just a hint of flavor for an inviting pucker. The drugstore brand also recently launched a medicated and an SPF version of the sphere.

I saved the best for last however. Just this month eos launched a line of body ($7.99) and hand lotions ($3.99), infused with shea butter and oat extracts, a bunch of antioxidants, essential nutrients, and Vitamin C and E – serious head-to-toe softness. Best of all, the hand lotion is conveniently petite with a unique shape so it’s portable, yet easy to locate in a cluttered bag. Fantastique!
