Holiday Style: What to Wear This Season

The holidays are always fun. Getting together with family, partying with friends, giving and receiving gifts, enjoying amazing dinners and making memories all form the best time of the year, right? Now that we are past Halloween, itÂ’s time to think ahead toward the winter months and the fabulous days ahead. Why not make the holidays a little extra special with a whole lot of gorgeous fashion for the season? ItÂ’s time to exercise all your knowledge of the fall and winter trends during the most wonderful time of the year. HereÂ’s the breakdown for what to wear for each of the upcoming holidays. YouÂ’ll look as good as the season makes you feel!

Thanksgiving. Who doesnÂ’t love Thanksgiving? Great food. Family visits. And fashion? Well, there is plenty of that, too! For this holiday, work the menswear look for a casual yet pulled-together look. An oversize blazer paired with a full skirt is one gorgeous option. Another chic ensemble is a tailored shirt and wide-legged pant paired with perfect accessories; a wreath necklace, banded watch and chandelier earrings will look festive. Keep it comfortable, casual and very sophisticated.

Christmas. I know Christmas can be a hectic day, but make sure to work a little fashion into your day. It is my favorite holiday for style! This day would be perfect to try out the super-girlie Â’50s trend. A full skirt paired with a sparkly cardigan and opaque tights will be forever stylish. Pair with kitten heels and a warm and pretty pea coat, and you have vintage glam! A structured bag or clutch in a dark shade will complete the look.

New Year’s Eve. This is definitely a time to experiment with your style and take a few fun risks. The look to rock for New Year’s? It has got to be sequins, and lots of them. There are several ways you could go to sparkle and shine. A glittery LBD with black tights and pumps will totally turn heads. Also consider a sequined mini paired with a bright ruffled top, or flip the look with a sequined top and flowing skirt — both would be equally fabulous. Make sure to pile on accessories, the bolder the better, and party into the New Year!

ItÂ’s time to utilize the best trends from the runway during the holiday season. With a little sparkle, some tailored looks and a bit of flashback fashion, the styles will take you straight through the rest of the year.
