Now that itÂ’s summer, many of you may be thinking about taking a trip to a theme park or a summer carnival. But itÂ’s always so difficult to figure out what to wear on these trips. Usually
the day ends up being so warm that you want to wear a breezy summer outfit, but you can’t because of all the walking – plus the problems of wearing anything breezy on a roller coaster! Though it is almost too easy to just give up and wear sweatpants or athletic shorts, don’t do it! You can still look fashionable without your look succumbing to amusement park dangers.
There are some rules that you should think about before planning any theme park outfits. First, you want to avoid wearing anything that could make riding any rides difficult or dangerous! So avoid big dangling earrings that might get caught on something and chunky belts that may hurt you when your seat belt goes on. Also make sure to avoid clothing that you might lose on a fast ride.
Avoid purses with tops you canÂ’t zipper closed as well as purses that are too big to grap. Try a small clutch that holds on your essentials or a smaller across the body bag. Also ditch shoes like sandals with no backs, as they might fall off during the ride. Additionally, depending on what theme park youÂ’re going to, you want to avoid wearing white, as it will become see-through if it gets wet. Despite all these limits, here are some chic outfit ideas that will also be very functional on your day trip:
The first outfit option is the classic: a pair of lightweight shorts and a basic tank top. For shorts, you can stick to classic denim cut-offs, or you might try an even lighter fabric short, such as one made with cotton or linen. For the tank top, you might want to consider one of summerÂ’s hottest trends, the asymmetrical tank. To make the look even cooler, try adding a breezy summer vest on top of the tank. Then you can stick to basic summer sandals, but you could also try wearing a menÂ’s style oxford shoe for an added touch.
The second option is a little trendier: pair together skinny-legged cargo pants with an embellished, colorful top. Cargo pants are just as comfortable as jeans, but are way more breathable and are very popular this summer. A top with a fun shoulder embellishment allows you to add some bling to your look without wearing any jewelry that might get in the way.
Finish your look with a cute t-strap sandal to keep the outfit feminine.
