If you havenÂ’t already hit the beach this summer, itÂ’s time! The weatherÂ’s been so gorgeous and IÂ’ve been dying to wear my new swimsuits out by the water. But looking fabulous in just a little clothing can be more difficult than it seems. Here are some styling tips for what to wear in this hot weather and how to rock it all summer long:
1. The white tee is a classic look for summer because of its casual, relaxed style. But there are some super stylish ways to sport your tee and some not so stylish ways to wreck its look. One stylish way to wear your white tee is to pair it with a colorful, large bib style necklace that hangs on top of the tee. Another option to add on skinny belt or a summer scarf over it. You can also try dressing down more formal skirts or other bottoms for a relaxed summer look by adding a white tee on the top. Just make sure you donÂ’t go too casual with a white tee: never wear a totally shredded white tee or one thatÂ’s see-through and reveals too much skin!
2. For swimsuit cover-ups, donÂ’t look like a slob! DonÂ’t just throw on a large tee shirt over your swimsuit and your body that youÂ’ve worked so hard for! If you want to keep things equally as simple, put on a basic white cotton dress with just a few detailing, like ruching underneath the bust or a few jewels around the neckline. If your swimsuit is a solid color, you could also try a cover-up with a wild animal print, like the cool leopard print thatÂ’s crazy popular this summer season. Whatever you do, donÂ’t wear anything too baggy and shapeless that totally masks the awesomeness that youÂ’re hiding underneath.
3. Pick a fun, light summer bag to take with you to the beach. A colorful tote or a straw bag are big enough to hold everything youÂ’ll need at the beach, including a towel, and will still look totally on point. Leave your dark leather handbag at home because it will give off a winter vibe and look out of place by the sea.
4. Do try something new. Whether itÂ’s new bright sunglasses, a funky tote, or a relaxed menswear style hat, summer is the time to break styleÂ’s rules and have fun!
