Rompers have been a hot trend in 2010 and this summer the style continues. A romper, if you donÂ’t know, is a one-piece short and top combination. The top often has short sleeves or is entirely sleeveless or strapless. Rompers are also often belted or self-belted. Celebrities and regular people alike have been wearing rompers all this year, and theyÂ’ve marked a
major moment in fashion. While some people think theyÂ’re silly, they are actually very easy and fun to wear as long as you get one with the right fit. Here are some tips on wearing a romper:
1. A belt is really essentially for a romper. Especially if the romper is all one color or pattern, your waist can often get lost beneath all the fabric. If it doesnÂ’t already come with a belt, make sure you add one so that your waist never disappears.
2. Try outfitting your romper with ultra feminine florals. The mix of a relaxed, single color romper with a floral belt, a headband, and sweet open toe sandals really up the chic factor of a romper. You can also try adding a longer looped necklace to up the femininity.
3. If youÂ’re petite, look for a romper with a flowing short style bottom, which can help add some shape and interest. Also try to find a romper with a nice print to bring attention to your frame. In addition to small size prints, a romper is one place where even petite girls can wear a larger print. Additionally, try adding some wedges to increase your leg length.
4. Pick the right fabric. Although silk rompers can be amazing to wear to more formal events or work, it can also cling to the body and show off things youÂ’d prefer to keep hidden. Heavier fabrics, like cotton, provide the most flattering look. A solid color is also the most universally flattering because it streamlines the body and creates and even shape.
5. Try wearing a romper to the beach over your swimsuit. Rompers are made now in terry cloth, which is perfect for drying your body after a swim in the pool. There are also many rompers styled with deep, loose v-necks that allow your swimsuit to peek through. Look for these in a relaxed cotton for the perfect beach cover up.
What do you think? How do you wear rompers?

You know, when the romper rage first started I thought I wouldn’t be caught dead in one, but the other day I saw several women wearing them and looking fabulous! So…. I’m starting to lean towards trying one out before the summer is over, and as you suggested, I’m thinking one with embroidery, smocking and/or a floral print in a summery fabric.
I feel very very happy when I see your type of designers who share their designs in fashion like this and because of looking and watching some fashion show I get lots of ideas…. but ur blogs are really fantastic….. thanx for sharing ur thoughts… take care

I love the outfit, especially the red tights.
I love rompers. I love how comfortable and easy they are to wear albeit a bit inconvenient at time. I tend to wear my with a city chic laid back vibe. I love to accessorize mine with hats and long necklaces. From time to time I may wear it with heels. You gave some great tips for people who may want to wear them, but aren’t too sure how.
