Bikini Swimsuits: Look Good Easily

ItÂ’s almost bikini season. It’s a bit rainy in California, but, I would love to go to the beach! But since the weather hasnÂ’t heated up just yet, my favorite thing is to think about new bikinis. This season, there are tons of new bikini trends, so read on for some tips on how to pick the right bikini for your body type:

1. Small Bust. Look for bikinis that fully cover your top half, like tube-style bandeau tops or bandeaus with sweetheart necklines. Also consider a bikini with ruffles or padding to try to fill out your chest and balance your body with your lower half. Avoid one-piece swimsuits that donÂ’t fit your top half. Buying separate sizes in bikinis may help you to get a better fit.

2. Large Bust. Try to find a bikini top with underwire to support your larger chest. Halter-tops are also great for your because they give you extra support. Avoid strapless styles like a bandeau top or itty-bitty triangle bikini tops. You want to be comfortable while avoiding showing too much cleavage.

3. Broad Shoulders. Avoid bikini tops with a deep v-neckline, as they will bring attention to your wider upper body. Also avoid bandeau tops because they also emphasize your width. Try to find a bikini top with a square neckline to even out your top. Also look for small details to draw the eye towards your hips, like ties or other sashes.

4. Short Torso. At all costs, avoid tankinis. Girls with this body type tend to think this style of swimsuit makes their body look more proportional, but it does not! A one piece with a deep neckline is probably ideal, but even a bikini with a v-neck top would help draw the eye downward towards your waist. Also make sure your avoid boy-short bikini bottoms, as they can often make you appear shorter.

5. Big on Bottom. Look for the new bikinis with skirted bottoms, just make sure there arenÂ’t too many details on the bottom. Skip ruffles, ties, and jewels on bottom and instead try for one with wider hip straps. Also use embellishments on top to even out your figure. Just make sure you avoid boy shorts, as they will bring unwanted size to your lower half.
