So one of the cute spring look-leftovers from 2009 is the romper. The onesie reminiscent of elementary school days on the playground and holding hands while you swing brings back all sorts of childhood playfulness and whimsy, but what does it do for sex appeal and glam? And what do you do with the extra space in the bum? You’ve certainly grown out of
diapers.
Rompers or onesies seem to come in 2 varieties: either they are the super-tight, super-glam sex appeal body leathers that fit like gloves and look ready to burst at the seams, or they are the eccentric, flower-girl vintage kind with cuffs and patchwork prints. In terms of fabric coverage, rompers are sexy: they allow you to wear shorter shorts then you would normally, and sometimes can come in very flattering sleeveless tops. So what’s the verdict, do guys like ‘em?
Not that we have to care what men think of what we wear. Not in a million years, because when I feel glamorous, sexy, and beautiful there’s nothing anyone can say to bring me down, and you should feel the same! But let’s just send out the verdict: what do the guys think?
I’ve had two responses, which I can summarize as very common guy traits: guys like mystery but they also like access: they also don’t want to feel like they are macking on an underage girl. And while wearing a onesie reminds you of kindergarten and all the fun you had on the monkey bars with Sallie Mo and Peggy Sue, it reminds your beau of kindergarten, too, and that’s not necessarily a good thing.
But you know what I say? Who cares! If you like the onesie and have a flattering one for your body, then rock it! What do you think?
