2009 is winding down. We’ve seen a lot of trends come and go. (Crocs and Uggs: PLEASE GO AWAY NOW!) The editors of Marie Claire magazine have compiled a list of the Worst Fashion Trends of 2009. There are some doozys (whoever thought peep toe boots were cute anyway?!) but my absolute favorite is this one:
Don’t: Shoulder Pads
Euna Lee channels her inner linebacker into this little black dress achieving truly magnanimous shoulder proportions. We’re sorry to tell you this Euna, but the ‘80s are over.
Who keeps trying to bring shoulder pads back anyway?! My grandma?! (NOTE TO GRANDMA: SHOULDER PADS ARE NOT MAKING YOU LOOK THINNER!) I remember she had some in a box and she’d bust them out to wear in her favorite blazers. Remember blazers?! Oh man, cross your fingers we don’t see that 80′s trend make a comeback in 2010…
