Makeup Trends – Colored Masacara

Colored Mascara in Cosmetics - Makeup Trend So one of the gifts I received this Christmas was a package of assorted “colored” mascaras!

I hesitate to name the brand I received because I have yet to try them and don’t feel like endorsing them just yet. I want to see if they are any good first before I give them a thumbs up.

Anyhow, the mascara package contained the following colors; blue, maroon-ish, yellow and green. Umm, Hi! It’s like mascara by Dr. Seuss. Well being the adventurous freak I am at the core; I dig it. I definitely want to give them a try for New Year’s! I don’t think it is a look that I intend on featuring day to day at thee ol’ office but clubbing and parties sound fun.

Anyone try or use colored mascara often? What do you recommend I use? I have brown eyes and pale skin, I was leaning towards the blue…

Remember back in the 80′s they had the electric blue mascara from maybelline I think? The pink and green bottle???? I loved using that stuff back then! It would make your eyelashes bright blue!!!!! Ahhhhh good times!!!! LOL….

And actually, I still think they sell that stuff….

Well Almay says for Brown or Dark Brown eyes use purple masscara. I have used this and I have to say that I like it. It seems to make my eyes stand out just a little more. Good luck

Dior used to have a mascara that was the best EVER, called Diorshow. It came in white, and it ROCKED. It was only about $25 a tube and lasted forever. Anyone who buys it, will be hooked…

Idk I thought i would like to try some myself. It looks pretty. Mascara for me if it’s not great lash. (and i’ve used some expensive stuff) Makes my eyes feel crusty after a couple hours and i touch it and it flakes off. Great Lash has always been good to me so i go back to it. But the colored stuff would be fun to go out in.

i myself have tried purple, light green, and bright blue. purple is good for brown eyes, it really compliments them better than black because it doesn’t make your eyes look as dark. even though most people can never tell the difference once it’s on unless you inform them that it’s purple. green, if it’s light, just tends to highlight your eyelashes and apparently is somewhat hard to see. bright blue tends to be a fun color to wear that somewhat stands out and it really does help make your eyes stand out. please keep in mind that these are all probably different brands from the kit you recieved and there-for most likely different shades. so if you please take my comment with a grain of salt.
