I had to share this great find with you! On a recent visit to my friend Tina’s house, I asked her if I could use some of her lotion since my legs felt dry and ashy thanks to the crisp Fall climate. Well she handed me a bottle of Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Butter Lotion.
At first I was reluctant, I really do not like feeling greasy. When I think “cocoa butter” I think that hardcore jar stuff that pregnant chicks use to grease up their belly. I use to help my cousin lather up her belly with that stuff and my hands would feel like I dipped them in cooking grease for hours after. I do like the smell though.
Well my friend Tina assured me that this was a “lotion” and non-greasy yet just as effective at moisturizing and conditioning. So I grabbed the bottle and started pumping the goods onto my thirsty legs. Hooray for small miracles, LOVES IT!!
Not only is it NOT greasy but it has a pleasant gentle smell, really moisturized without leaving a greasy film and is AFFORDABLE! Anyhow I am addicted to the stuff now and seriously give it my 5 star recommendation.

I ‘ve been using this lotion since earlier this past summer, I love it too! Especially as a woman of color, I find it helps prevents ashiness and helps to even my skin tone. Cocoa has been something that African American women have had in our beauty arsenal for a very long time, in many different forms. However, I think that I do like Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Lotion the best. At least until someone comes up with something better.

my sisters, brothers and I grew up with Vaseline it is a great product. We also found this product by Kathy Ireland skin care , Verbena and Bergamot Hydrating Body Lotion. It is also fantastic.
can we use vaseline cocabutter deep conditioning moisturized body lotion on face also……plz help me…….
I think you could use the vaseline on your face if you don’t have a tendency to break out. I would not use it in the t-zone. It might make the face too greasy. but, i’m sure it’s safe if that’s what your asking.
