So here I go, my favorite posts are those inspired by real life…
I was in the nail salon and the lady next to me was getting fake nails attached to her TOES! Dude! Call me sheltered but I was pretty much stunned. Not only was she getting fake nails attached to her feet but they were LONG to boot!
Now I consider myself fairly worldly and I understand that “beauty” is often defined by region, culture, ethnicity, social economic status and so forth, however from a purely practical perspective long toe nails is simply poor form. How can you wear supportive or functional shoes? Apparently this lady works in flip flops all day, every day!
That said, I will admit that the fake long toe nail trend is a rarity. (Thank Goodness!)
But a more common occurrence, is the super LONG fake nails on hands! I have seen variations of these bad boys since I was little and they don’t seem to be going away. Am I alone in the notion that this looks simply repugnant! The word Witch and Medusa come to mind. And again from a purely functional perspective how does one type with such monstrosities attached to your fingertips. How do you zip up your jeans, button your blouse, fix lunch?
This featured set isn’t as bad as what I saw at the nail salon, but it is an example of my second point.
When does originality and artistry stop and creepy begins?
Answer: When it looks like you can slice someone with your jagger like claws! Ha!
On the bright side at least her toe nails are real. What do you guys think? Am I being too harsh? Are super long nails and fake toes, pretty?

No, the super long nails look disgusting. How does one bathe or wash one’s face with that mess on.
It is tacky and not beautiful or fashionable at all. It just looks bad.
It’s disgusting – I could never figure out what drives women to do that – I’m sure they think other women are enviious as I know the men I know just want nails to be long enough to scratch their back.
Yuck! Face washing is one thing, but how on earth do these women properly use the bathroom???!!!!

I have always loved to see long, glamourous nails, but these super long nails are just garish. They don’t look pretty anymore, just frightening and freakish. Too much of a good thing.
personally, long fingernails and toenails on a women are sexy. I love girls with long french manicures and long red or black or black and sparkly toenails. long nails are such a turn on. girls with short nails = turn off.

Different strokes for different folks, and to me they are even more beautiful than short, unkept nails. And frankly you have to have a very strong personality to wear very long nails for more than one day, so I have ALOT of respect for these ladies. For the rest of you short nail lovers, you can blend in with the rest of lemmings.
… and I aggree with Bob, short nails are such a turn off, specially when the nails are extremely short, don’t matter if a woman is stunningly beautiful, ugly short nails are a turn off and are a true reflection of the person. Long nails that are well kept, manicured and loved shows that the woman loves and respects herself first!!
I’ve had nails any where from hardly noticeable to 5 inches long. Long nails are just like 5inch stilettos, not made for every one. I don’t understand how having small nails be uncomfortable if every thing can be done with ease. I can cook, clean, wash my face and the big shock use the bathroom! For someone to wonder this it leaves little to the imagination, i mean how do you use the bathroom that you question it? Long nails are sexy and add and unexplainable beauty to the woman that can pull of the sexy colors and tempting length
wow people are really ignorant!!!!having long nails does not mean that u can not properly function that’s the most idiotic thing Ive heard in a long time.i bathe,wash my face and wipe my ass the same way everyone else does and probably more efficiently then you do.how can you say something is disgusting that you have no knowledge of??? that’s like saying having long hair is nasty, when you speak on a subject as closed mindlessly as most of you have done id refer to you as moron!!!some women simply do not have what it takes to pull off having long nails.that’s fine but don’t hate on those who can.
Oh, I love/Like, I LOVE super long nails on woman, its turn me on, just to see them and imagine them on my body!!!!!!! They are very sexxy on womans hands.

Love the long nails! saying that someone couldn’t function or they’re nasty is nonsense in my opinion.. Many women wear longer nails and they seem to function have adapted to longer lengths, why else would they keep the nails.
to Dy: you say you had your nails up to 5″long?!!! now that’s long!! do you have pics of them, i’d love to see those 10 beauties!! Much respect for wearing them that long. What’s your current length?

To each it’s own if a woman wants long nails she should be able to have them without a word said. All women do not like looking like a man by the hand, short hair, I rather letting the men look like men they don’t need my help.
