It’s the 1980s all over again. Exhibit A: leggings. Exhibit B: fluorescents. Exhibit C: strong-shouldered silhouettes. Okay, so I guess this new bold shoulder trend is not totally 80s, but it is certainly reminiscent of that heyday of shoulder pads. Puffed, structured and flutter sleeves are set to make a showing this fall, putting the shoulder into the spotlight. The logic behind this fashion movement? Gary Graham told Style.com that he likes the face framing powers of the style, while others point to the waist-shrinking and figure-balancing possibilities.
