Since I was a kid, I’ve had this bad habit of imagining, to the very last detail, the perfect dress, sweater, shoes, skirt, and other pieces of clothing in my head. Though fun, such fashion fantasies usually lead to utter frustration, empty shopping bags, and me cursing the entire retail industry for not reading my mind and granting my wishes. Like right now, for example, I’m imaging a simple A-line denim skirt, light weight, medium wash, above the knee, side or back zip, no pockets. It seems simple enough but, of course, I can’t find it anywhere.
Unlike yours truly, who could have learned the art of clothes-making to solve this problem, the folks at Loeffler Randall turned the same fashion disease into a business when they started bringing to life the shoes that they dreamed of.
