Let this be a lesson to all who insist on mentally keeping track their engagements. I’m sorry, but you need to grow up and get a datebook. I mean, just look what happened to poor Jessica Simpson.
When her limo pulled up to the Costume Institute gala, she must have been so mortified. “Oh my gah, I thought you said this was for Maxim,” she probably gasped. But, being the super trooper she is, she just went with it, which is admirable, but still unfortunate since she was wearing this monstrosity. It looks like it was made from the backdrop of a This Magic Moment-themed prom photo.
The upside is her hair looks great. The downside is everything else. Jessica is undeniably beautiful, but this dress was made for a waif of a girl with a barely-there chest, and that she is not. I mostly feel sorry for her breasts–the real victims in this fashion tragedy–the very sight of them all squished in that (probably really scratchy) sequined halter makes my claustrophobic tendencies flare up.
Poor Jessica.
