Olay Ultra Moisture In-Shower Body Lotion

Those of us with dry skin really should invest in this product. The Olay Ultra Moisture In-Shower Body Lotion is excellent because it works with your shower’s steam and heat to give you the most optimum moisture ever. It’s a lotion that you use in the shower. Brilliant. They advertise that in just five days, your skin will dramatically and noticeably improve. I’ve been using it for a few days now and it’s definitely working better than other products.

This isn’t really a cleaning product so you still have to use a shower gel or soap before you apply this lotion. This just replaces the lotion that you would put on after you come out of the shower. This way, you get everything done in the shower and you’re ready to go! I don’t know about you guys, but sometimes I just don’t have time to put lotion all over after I get out of the shower. This makes it easier. You also bypass that heavy feeling of lotion on your skin. At first I was skeptical–why would you want a lotion that rinses off? But in fact, it’s better to use it in the shower because of the heat that causes your pores to open and allows maximum moisture to reach in the depths of your skin.

Just as heat opens your pores, you should always finish of your shower with cooler temperature water because cold water closes  your pores so you have skin that’s smoother.

Brazilian Wax - Banned? Smarter Beauty Blog

Since there is nothing more important happening in the world (note the sarcasm folks) let’s discuss New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology is wondering whether they should make Brazilian waxes illegal? Ummm…WHY? It’s not like Jersey girls don’t already have enough beauty stereotypes to overcome but now they can’t zero their beaver?

Seems unjust if you ask me.  :(

    New Obsession: Bliss Body Butter

Well, my dry hands have been well documented, so it should come to no surprise that I’m always on the lookout for the next miracle product to hydrate my hangnails.  This time, I have the W Hotel to thank for my newest discovery: Bliss Lemon + Sage Body Butter ($35). You see, they provide a whole bevy of Bliss products as part of their bathroom booty, so I was able to luxuriate in Bliss’ hair and bath stuff while staying in New York City this Labor Day weekend.

Usually, the stuff they lay out in hotels is nothing to write home about, so I always bring my beloved Udderly Smooth cream, which never lets me down.  However, this time that cow cream never left my suitcase because the Bliss Body Butter did the trick and then some. And ah, that refreshing smell! Splendid! Needless to say, I stocked up on the free samples, but once they’ve been tapped, I will definitely buy a new tube.

I like the shampoo and conditioning rinse, too, since they really did make my hair shiny, a promise most haircare products make but rarely deliver.
