If you’re looking for ways to do your part to help conserve our precious resources (in Los Angeleswater!), want to cut down on the amount of bath products you use, or want smooth hair and skin….LATimes.com recommends the Jonathan Beauty Water shower filter created by the good-looking yet whiny Jonathan Antin from Bravo’s reality show “Blow Out.”

“As you may have heard, California is in the midst of a drought. The Metropolitan Water District, the agency that supplies Southern California with its drinking water, recently said it may have to reduce water deliveries to the Los Angeles area by 15% to 25%. Now while this is disturbing news that threatens the region’s economy and very ecology, more critically, it spells trouble for your coiffure.”   EEEK!

Discount Hair Dryer - Conair Tourmaline Ionic Styler

I can’t live without my hair dryer, seriously. Once on a trip to the Philippines I forgot to bring my outlet adapter and had to use my cousin’s weak and powerless dryer and my hair was frizzy and dull as a result. I was not happy.

Well on yet another trip to the islands I brought my adapter but failed to realize it was simply an outlet converter and did not alter the voltage, so when I switched my beloved on it promptly began to spark and broke! :(

It is therefore my belief that my motherland does not want me to have nice hair. Well not that my beloved has bit the dust I am in search of a new hair dryer, any suggestions?

I have been meaning to try one of these Ionic Stylers? So far I am checking out the Professional Tourmaline Ionic Styler.

This Conair Infiniti Tourmaline Ionic Styler features a high torque, 1875 watt, DC motor that dries hair faster which minimizes heat styling damage. Tourmaline ceramic components emit negative ions to help your hair absorb more moisture which leads to softer, smoother, and shinier hair. Model features 4 heat settings, 3 speed settings, cool shot button, hinged filter, hanging ring, professional length cord, diffuser, and concentrator. 3-year limited warranty.

Mmmm, sounds fancy.  l dig it. Luckily the price isn’t fancy:

Beauty Deal: 30% off Revlon Hair Dryers

Drugstore.com always has a pretty darn good sale section. I’m in the market for a new hair dryer.  My old favorite was actually a Revlon dryer that lasted…forever!  So, I’m sticking to the brand and came accross this Revlon Toumaline Ionic 1875 Watt Dryer at Drugstore.com.  As my luck would have it it’s on sale for about $10 off!

                                                                        $34.44 Now: $24.11

The Revlon Ionic Retractable Cord 1875 Watt Dryer is also on sale for if appliance cords annoy you.

                                                                         $21.49 Now: $15.04

I’ll probably end up going with the retractable cord dryer and stock up on my fave Dr. Pepper Lip Smaker until the total comes to $25 so I can get free shipping!
