Clinique True Bronze Bronzing Gel, $18.50
Bronzer is a great way to add some sun-kissed color to your complexion during the summer months. It’s a wonderful alternative to spending hours in the sun trying to score a real tan, which could lead to sunburns, drying, peeling, and premature aging. Yuck.
Everyone can benefit from a little bronzer which, if chosen in the right shade, can help all skin tones achieve a healthy, summer glow. An added bonus is that bronzer allows you to wear less makeup overall for a fresher, lighter look that summer calls for. Choose a gel or cream if you want all over color and powder if you want bronze accents.
Here are some bronzer guidelines I live by:
- Don’t go overboard–a little bronzer goes a long way, and too much will make you look like you have a disease.
- Apply bronzer in a well lit room and blend well especially if you’re using it in
- place of foundation. The goal is to make you face look like it belongs on the rest of your body.
- Bronzer and blush are like ketchup and mustard–they work well together. Add a little blush on top of bronzer and build from there.
- Apply bronzer to cheeks, forehead, chin and bridge of nose for a natural, sunny look.
