‘On The Go’ Fashion for Moms: Volume 1
One of the hardest things about becoming a mother is losing a sense of your former self, part of that quite possibly centering on your appearance. All of a sudden your sweats become an acceptable ensemble to wear out in the world and you no longer have the time, money or energy for fashion. (Don’t even get me started on makeup.) I receive countless questions from my readers about how to look chic in a short amount of time for not a lot of money.
As the mother of a two year old and a four year old, I now find that I spend an inordinate amount of time at Target. Who knew? I certainly didn’t. Since its reinvention some years back, clothing designers have jumped on the Target bandwagon making cheap fashion not only affordable, but also accessible. I was skeptical at first, and then one day on one of my many diaper runs, I decided to investigate. (A plus that I could do so without having to drag the kids on a separate outing to the mall – much less opportunity for public meltdowns.)

Like most women, I am having a love affair with the dress this summer. It’s current, yes, but my fondness for them centers around one thing – they’re EASY. I love that it’s a thirty second no-brainer to get dressed in the morning and that just ONE piece of clothing makes up an entire outfit. (If you don’t include your undies.)
